Saving Transparent GIF's
Well, a few people have trouble with
transparency, so heres a tut for those who just started
using ps. First, all you have to do is open a new image and
change settings to something like this.
Change the width, height, resolution, to whatever you
want. But if you want transparency, you should change the
"Mode" to any of the 4 options you just saw. Usually, mostly
everybody uses RBG Color (red, blue, green). Then, Instead of
checking "white" or "background color" for the contents, use
"transparent". So then, when you click the "OK", you get a
new image with checkers. this means it's transparent.
So now, add text or whatever you want to that image.
everywhere it's still checkered, it's going to be
transparent.
Ok. Now that u got ur stuff done, press ctrl + alt + s
(save as). and in the save window, click the dropdown menu
and choose "CompuServe GIF (*.GIF)".
Then, press "Save". A new window pops up, Make shure you
click the "transparency" option so your image will be
transparent.
After you have it checked, press 'OK'. After that, a new
window pops up, choose any one, it's really not important.
Press "ok" and test your new image. It should have
transparency.
Wow, aint that somethin' it works. Thus, finishing my
tutorial.
