Hotkeys (Keyboard Shortcuts)
Hotkeys (or keyboard shortcuts) are
keystrokes used to invoke a command and they usually, but
not always, involve a modifier key such as Ctrl
(
),
Alt (Option), or Shift. For example, instead of choosing
Select Deselect from the menus, you could simply press
Ctrl+D ( +D).
While hotkeys not only improve the speed and efficiency with
which you use Photoshop, they sometimes provide you with
functionality that is otherwise unachievable (like zooming
while a dialog window is open). Below are several hotkey
tables which show "all" of the Photoshop's hotkeys.
Here are a couple of additional notes:
- Mac users: Ctrl =
, Alt
= Option (e.g. Ctrl+Alt+D =
OptionD),
and right-click = Controlclick
